Ayana Komodo Resort Waecicu Beach
Beautiful sceneries, comfortable dive spots and friendly topography are some of desired factors that people consider to spend their leisure time. “Engaging with Nature” would come out as a personal tagline in releasing their mind from daily activities. Over the years, many tourist destinations around the world provide attractive spots with interesting and unique points. Each of those arise with unforgettable values that are attained from the destination itself, facilities and staff, the architecture, and most importantly the landscape amenities provided and integrated into the unique local environment.
In Indonesia, Labuan Bajo has always been a low-key holiday destination, but currently it is becoming an tourist hot spot attracting more tourists to visit every year. It is located on the beautiful island of Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. On this island, Ayana built a high-end resort, which is surrounded by word-class dive spots and friendly topography, which was inaugurated with the name Ayana Komodo Resort Waecicu Beach. It is the first real world-class resort in the area and it will host over 200 rooms, landscape features, such as wedding venues, pools, beach enhancement and enlargement, and a new 200 meter long pier. Overall, this resort is a strategic place to do many activities, such as exploring Komodo National Park, relaxing by the pool, and trying various marine activities.
In giving the perfect experience to visitors, the landscape was designed to create a unique ambiance, facilitating guests ‘chemistry’ in their reaction to the whole. It will prove to be a memorable place guests will talk about for a long time to come.
For the Ayana Komodo Resort Waecicu Beach, St Legere was responsible for the landscape design within the site’s 14,000 square meters, which includes 201 rooms with full facilities. In enhancing the beach experience, the shore line required extensive work that include perched sand platforms hosting BBQ areas and the unique design of the pier. A sinuious, artfully arranged form maximizes island views and creating better photo opportunities of the Ayana’s new 50 meters yacht that will be moored in this spot. Swimming platforms, docks, a Sunset Bar, wedding/function area, and other guest amenities are presented for guest’s ultimate enjoyment.
The landscape design integrates with the local topography structures, blending man-made and nature, providing a memorable experience for the guests, and draw them back to enjoy again and again.
